Decisions by public officials

In accordance with Section 140 of the Local Government Act, decisions made by public officials are available for public inspection on the website. A municipal council member is deemed to have been notified of the decision within seven (7) days of the minutes being made available on the public information network. Publication applies only to those decisions by public officials regarding which, in addition to the party concerned, a municipal resident also has the right under Section 137 of the Local Government Act to file a request for correction or a municipal appeal. Official decisions are kept available for public inspection only for the period of public inspection, i.e., the appeal period, which is indicated in the decision. If the public inspection period ends on a public holiday, the period is extended to the next business day. If necessary, personal data that is unnecessary for the appeal process is removed from decisions published on the website. Appendices to decisions containing confidential information or information that could jeopardize privacy or a business operator’s trade or professional secrets will not be published.
