Day 2 Sauna Day

Step into the heart of Finnish tradition with the “Live Like a Local” Sauna Day at Kinkamo Cabin.
Join the host in heating a traditional smoke sauna, meet and feed the reindeer and walk through the forest along the magical Elf Trail to a traditional Lapland-style kota. Complete the day with a delicious campfire meal, including perfectly flame-grilled salmon.

Day 3 Hiking
Guided hike to Himmaa Peak(opens in a new window) scenery tower, birdwatching at the wetland, followed by lunch at Riihon Majatalo.(you will be redirected to another service, opens in a new window)

This guided soft-adventure hiking experience combines local food, nature, scenery, storytelling and genuine rural hospitality.
During lunch, the host family introduces the area through stories about Riihon village, the old guesthouse and local life.
After lunch, guests head out on a guided hike through the beautiful Lakeland countryside toward Himmaan Peak.
The destination is a 22-metre scenic tower with panoramic views over forests and open landscapes, creating a memorable sense of space and silence typical of Lakeland Finland. At the tower area, guests can relax and enjoy a break in a spacious hut before heading back.

Day 6 Horseback Riding
Horseback ride to Suolampi Pond – Kokkomäki Stable(opens in a new window)

Horseback ride to a nearby Suolampi Pond along forest trails with Kokkomäki Stable.
Easy and short 3 hour ride or a ride to riders who want to ride all day long. Choose your self.

Day 7 Cultural Day
Local services and products, and cultural attractions in the Center of Keuruu

Discover the local history of Keuruu with a visit to the Old Church and the Heritage Museum,(you will be redirected to another service, opens in a new window) where guided tours are available in English.
Savour authentic Finnish flavours with a traditional rye bread tasting at P&T Street Cafe(opens in a new window), and explore local products at Maalaisvakka.(opens in a new window)
Enjoy lunch in the town centre at Bistro Fiilis,(you will be redirected to another service, opens in a new window) or choose from a wide range of restaurants. Afterward, explore charming local shops.
Take in the beauty of the region with a scenic lake cruise aboard the paddle wheeler M/S Elias Lönnrot
