Early action following a notification

The Keurusselkä Environmental and Health Protection Office monitors the health and safety conditions of premises subject to the Health Protection Act in accordance with the municipality’s inspection plan. The municipality charges an annual basic supervision fee of €150 to the operator of a premises or activity listed in the Annex to the Health Protection Act (763/1994). If the activities carried out by the operator at a single establishment include several of the activities referred to in the aforementioned Annex, the basic supervision fee is charged only once a year.

The basic supervision fee is charged at the start of the calendar year. No basic supervision fee is charged for that calendar year for a supervised entity that notifies the authorities of the commencement of its operations during the course of the calendar year. If the operator notifies the municipal health protection authority of the cessation of operations, the collection of the basic supervision fee ceases from the start of the following calendar year. In addition to the annual basic fee, the municipality charges the supervised entity a fee in accordance with the tariff it has approved.
