The Tammenlehvä Keuruu Heritage Committee
On National Veterans’ Day, 27 April 2023, the Tammenlehvän Central Finland Heritage Association was founded in Peurunka, Laukaa. The purpose of the association is to preserve and uphold the traditions and values of the 1939–1945 wars and the war generation in accordance with the principles of the Tammenlehvä Heritage Association. The organisation acts as a coordinator and implementer of regional heritage work and fosters a sense of community and patriotic spirit in Central Finland.

An unregistered local heritage committee has been established in association with the regional association for several localities, with the task of organising annual events related to veterans’ traditions. The Keuruu local heritage committee was established on 7 November 2023 and meets approximately two to three times a year.
