A Wellness Kickstart for Retirees – A Boost to Start Your Retirement!
Mondays from 2 to 30 March 2026, 1.30–3.30 pm, plus a meeting following the self-study period on 25 May
The Wellbeing Kick-start programme is designed for those who have recently retired (within the last year or so) or are due to retire in the near future, and who are looking for a boost to their wellbeing as they start their retirement. The programme comprises five weekly sessions at Keuruu Swimming Pool (Keuruuntie 23), plus a follow-up session after the self-directed period. Each session lasts two hours and includes a lecture and an exercise session. The lectures cover nutrition for older people, physical activity, brain health, sleep and recovery. The exercise sessions involve getting to know the swimming pool’s gym and exercising together on various themes, taking participants’ wishes into account. Startti also includes optional initial and final assessments: grip strength, standing up from a chair, a balance test, shoulder mobility, and a 6-minute walk test.
Free of charge!
Organiser: The Keuruu and Petäjävesi on the Move 2.0 project and the Central Finland Wellbeing Region
