Drawing on a wide range of source material, *On the Road to the Old Church* traces the history of the landscape, people and architectural heritage of the area around Keuruu’s old church over several centuries. It explores both the lives of local people and the changes the area has undergone in Finland and Keuruu as society mode ised from the 19th century onwards. The book’s author, architect Emanuele Arteniesi, has conducted interviews and researched documents relating to buildings, the landscape, local history and individuals in various archives for this work. The book was inspired by an exhibition of the same name and the enthusiastic visitor feedback it received at the Keuruu Museum in 2022.
