Library collections
The library has a wide variety of materials and items available for loan to adults, children and young people.
In addition to printed books and magazines, we offer films, music and audiobooks, digital and board games, sports equipment, as well as season tickets and gym membership cards. With a few exceptions, items can be reserved for collection in Keuruu from other Keski libraries or from other libraries.
Loan periods vary depending on the material:
- The loan period for books and sheet music is four weeks (28 days)
- The loan period for music and film recordings, games and magazines is two weeks (14 days)
- The loan period for sports equipment and other items, Mestis season tickets and the weekly loan collection of the most popular books at Keuruu Library is one week (7 days). These items cannot be reserved in advance, nor can loans be renewed.
- The loan period for a rowing boat is one day or until the next opening day.
Electronic resources
Keuruu offers the national E-library services to all residents. We procure other digital resources (the Cineast film service and the ePress and PressReader newspaper services) in collaboration with other libraries in the Keski region. To access remote services – namely the film service and PressReader, which contains foreign-language newspapers – you log in using your library card and PIN code. The ePress newspaper service can only be used on library computers or via the library’s Wi-Fi network.

Magazines subscribed to by the library
The loan period for magazines is two weeks. The latest issue cannot be borrowed, with the exception of children’s and young people’s magazines, craft magazines and magazines from the mobile library.
