Pohjoislahden Primary School
Pohjoislahden Primary School is a lovely little village school offering pre-primary and primary education in combined classes from 0 to 2, 3 to 4 and 5 to 6.
Our school employs three class teachers, two teaching assistants, as well as a visiting English teacher and a special needs teacher. Student welfare is an integral part of everyday school life. Our school also has its own kitchen, where tasty school lunches are prepared.
At our school, a sense of community is a vital asset. Working together and children of different ages interacting lay the foundations for a healthy sense of self and the development of social skills. Every child is listened to and valued for who they are.
We also organise school trips for pupils every year. Thanks to our active parents’ association, these trips are available to all pupils at the school.
Our school is situated in beautiful natural surroundings, about 10 kilometres from the centre of Keuruu. Being close to nature is an important part of our school’s activities, and we make use of the nearby woods in our teaching throughout the year.
