Development activities

The City of Keuruu carries out development work related to employment and entrepreneurship through various projects. The JOKO Työelämään project is currently underway.

The JOKO into Working Life project

The aim of the three-year JOKO Työelämään project is to lower the barriers for the business sector to employ people who speak a foreign language. The project’s individually tailored measures are designed to support immigrants in entering the labour market, integrating into society and participating in community life. The project acts as a link between employers and job seekers. Project staff provide support for the induction of foreign-language speakers into the workplace and for developing their language skills for the workplace.

The JOKO Työelämään project, co-funded by the European Union, will run from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026.
