Target groups
The target group is:
- Asylum seekers who have been granted a positive residence permit
- Persons eligible for temporary protection who have been granted residence in their home municipality
- People who have moved from elsewhere in Finland and whose integration period is still ongoing
Integration services support clients in various situations where they need to deal with official matters. The aim is to strengthen clients’ ability to cope and to increase their understanding of and knowledge about Finnish society.
How can we help?
Newcomers can receive assistance with the following matters if necessary:
- work and residence permits
- social and health services
- Finnish language lea ing and interpreting services
- family reunification and applying for benefits
- tax and banking matters
Integration services also work in partnership with various networks. Clients of the integration services have the same rights and obligations in the municipality as other residents. Furthermore, they have access to the services provided by the municipality, the welfare district and the authorities, just like other residents.
